1) trapezium - it can have only one pair of equal sides. the non equal opposite sides may be parallel. in this case it is an isosceles trapezium.
2) parallelogram - also represented as //gm, it is the type of quatrilateral that has two pairs of equal parallellines. its opposite angles are equal and all sides and/or may or may not be equal
3) rhombus - a parallelogram with all sides equal, this quadrilateral's diagonals intersect at 90 degrees, but may or may not be equal
4) rectangle - it is a parallelogram with all angles 90 degrees. its adjacent sides may or may not be equal
but the opposite sides are equal, as it is a parallelogram also. its diagonals are equal, but all don't bisect at 90 degrees.
5)square - it is a parallelogram with all sides and angles [90degrees] equal and its diagonals are equal and bisect each other perpendicularly
6)kite - in this quadrilateral, two adjacent side pairs are equal.

remember:-rhombus, square and rectangle are all parallelograms and these are only convex quadrilaterals.
