Maybe you're asking temperature scales
There are Three Types of temperature scales namely: fahrenheit scale, Celsius or centigrade scale and Kelvin or absolute scale.
Fahrenheit scale
In fahrenheit scale, 32°F and 212°F are the freezing point and boiling points respectively. Interval has been divided into 180 parts.
Celsius temperature scale
In Celsius scale also called centigrade scale ,0°C and 100°C are the freezing point and boiling point respectively. Interval has been divided into 100 parts.
Kelvin scale
Kelvin scale is known as the absolute scale. On the Kelvin scale 0 Kelvin represent absolute zero, the temperature at which the molecules of a substance have their lower possible energy. The solid .liquid gases phases of water can coexist in equilibrium at 273.16K.
Kelvin is defined as 1 by 243. 16 of the triple point temperature

THERE ARE THREE TYPES OF SCALES:--
1) Fractional or Ratio Scale: A fractional scale map shows the fraction of an object or land feature on the map. This type uses a set of numbers that represents the object or a landmark. As an example on the left photo, the orange-shaded scale represents a 2/3 fractional scale.
2) Linear Scale:A linear scale shows the distance between two or more prominent landmarks. The linear scale on maps is a set of lines or dots that represents a landmark. An example on the left photo is a map using a linear scale on each road.
3) Verbal Scale: This type of scale use simple words to describe a prominent surface feature. A verbal map scale expands abbreviations to describe a landmark or an object. An example is the image to the left describes a scale as cm is equal to 15 kilometers.
Scale Formulas
=>> Major Scale: R, W, W, H, W, W, W, H
=>>Natural Minor Scale: R, W, H, W, W, H, W, W
=>> Harmonic Minor Scale: R, W, H, W, W, H, 1 1/2, H (notice the step and a half)
=>>Melodic Minor Scale: going up is: R, W, H, W, W, W, W, H
going down is: R, W, W, H, W, W, H, W
=>> Dorian Mode is: R, W, H, W, W, W, H, W
=>>Mixolydian Mode is: R, W, W, H, W, W, H, W
=>>Ahava Raba Mode is: R, H, 1 1/2, H, W, H, W, W
=>>A minor pentatonic blues scale (no sharped 5) is: R, 1 1/2, W, W, 1 1/2, W
