Answer:

Amoeba eats tiny plants and animals present in pond water. The body of Amoeba has finger-like projections called pseudopodia which ingests the food.

The surrounding cytoplasm secretes digestive enzymes into the food vacuole which acts on the food and thus it gets digested.

Answer:

Explanation:

1. Ingestion; amoeba has no mouth or a fixed place for the ingestion of food. Amoeba ingests food by using it's pseudopodia.

2.in amoeba food is digested in the food vacuole by digestive enzymes.

3.the digested food present in the food vacuole of amoeba is absorbed directly into the cytoplasm of amoeba cell by diffusion.

4. A part of the food absorbed in amoeba cell is used to obtain energy through respiration.

5. Amoeba has no fixed place for removing the undigested part of food. When a considerable amount of food collects inside amoeba, then it's cell membrane ruptures at any place and the undigested food is thrown out of the body of amoeba
