Digestive process starts in mouth when you chew. Your salivary glands makes saliva, a digestive juice which moistens food so it moves more easily through your oesophagus into stomach. Saliva is also an enzyme that begins to break down starch in food. Food passes through oesophagus by peristalsis movement. In stomach upper muscles relaxes to let food enter, and lower muscles mixes food with digestive juice.
