A plane mirror have a smooth reflecting surface which is plane and is coated by silver on one of the sides.

Now for any object the characteristics of its image formed by plane mirror are :

  • Image is of same size as of Object
  • Image distance = Object distance
  • Real image
  • Laterally inverted - left of object becomes right of image, right of object becomes left of image.

Now for any object it's image formed by a plane mirror is laterally inverted.

Thus the image of letter B will look like as in the attachment.
