Distortion in amplifiers:-
The application of a sinusoidal signal to the input of an ideal class A amplifier will result in a sinusoidal output waves .Generally the output wave is not an exact replica of the input signal waveform because of various types of errors.
The types of distortion that may exist are:-
1.Non-linear distortion
2. Frequency distortion
3.phase(or delay) distortion.
Hope it's help

Amplifier Distortion:-
Amplifier Distortion has occurred during the amplification process of the signal waveform.
Types of Amplifier Distortion:-
i) Amplitude Distortion:-
Amplitude distortion occurs when the peak values of the frequency waveform are attenuated causing distortion is called Amplitude Distortion.
ii) Frequency Distortion:-
Amplifier distortion which occurs in a transistor amplifier when the level of amplification varies with frequency is called Frequency Distortion.
iii) Phase Distortion or Delay Distortion:-
Amplifier distortion which occurs in a non-linear transistor amplifier when there is a time delay between the input signal and its appearance at the output is called Phase Distortion or Delay Distortion.
