DNA copying is the basic event in reproduction. There will always be a slight error during the DNA copying (No two biochemical reactions will ever be same)  which will cause a very slight variation or mutation. However, if the genetic mutation is very drastic, it can cause the cell apparatus to die. This slight genetic variation or mutation will accumulate over many generations which will eventually lead to speciation.

the most imp. component of chromosome is DNA

one chromosome comes from father and the other from mother.

DNA carries the code used by cells while making protiens.

Each chromosome contains one molecule of DNA and genes are the segments of DNA.

A section of DNA that provides information for one protien e.g. , the amount of plant harmone made will depend on the effieciency of the process for making it.
