yes mate oxidation and reduction takes place at the same time and it is known as redox reaction. detailed study in 11th standard.

hi friend first of all the question you are asking is of chemistry but not of Biology section and here is your answer.....

from my thinking oxidation and reduction reaction cannot take place alone ...
because..
if one substance is reducing oxygen then it will be taken by another and oxidation will take place same situation in this case of hydrogen therefore this is not a loan process such a process is also known as Redox reaction.
