Answer:                                                                                                                        Following are the consequences of deforestation-

  • 1) soil erosion: deforestation results in loosing of upper fertile layer of soil in wind, water etc. while trees held this soil in place via. their roots(underground).
  • water cycle : deforestation disturbs natural water cycle because in absence of trees no transpiration which leads to rainfall depletion.
  • green house effect: trees take co2 during  photosynthesis and release o2.this leads to depletion of co2 in atmosphere.in absence of trees co2 concentration in atmosphere increases which traps sunlight leading to green house effect and ultimately global warming.
