Double circulation means that blood flows twice in the heart .

Pulmonary veins take oxygented blood from the lungs and pass to the heart from left atrium flows to the left ventricle through aorta it passes through whole body parts.

Vena cava of upper body and lower body takes deoxygenated blood from all body parts and passes to right atrium and blood flows to the right ventricle and through pulmonary artries it passes to the lungs for oxygenation .

In this both process the blood flows twice in the heart.
