Answer: Streams within drainage basin forms certain patterns, patterns formed are known as drainage patterns

There are four types of drainage pattern:-

1. Dendritic Pattern - The stream with it's tributaries resembles the branches of a tree , develops a dendritic Pattern.

2. Trellis Pattern - A river joined by it's tributaries, at approximately right angles , develops a trellis pattern. This pattern develops where hard and soft rocks

Exist parallel to each other.

3. Rectangular Pattern - When river joined by it's tributaries resembles rectangular shape develops rectangular pattern.

4. Radial Pattern - The radial pattern develops when Streams flow in different directions from a central peak or some like structure.

And water divider means : Any elevated area such as mountain or an upland which separates two drainage basins is known as water divide.
