⚫Electronegativity of Group 13 elements
⏩Group 13 elements are more electronegative than the elements of group 1 and 2.
⏩The electronegativity first decreases from Boron to aluminium and then increases marginally down the group atomic size increases.
⏩After aluminium due to the imperfect shielding effect of the d and f electrons, the force of attraction of the nucleus toward's electrons increases, Hence Electronegativity Increases.

• Group 13 elements are also known as Boron family.
• Boron family shows a wide variation in properties.
• Down the group electronegativity first decreases from B (boron) to Al (aluminum) and then increases. Because of the size of the elements.
• Electronegativity increases from Al (aluminum) to Tl (thalium) because the attraction of outer most electron towards nucleus is more.
In other words we can say that electronegitivity is inversly propotional to size and as we go down the group size increases as number of shell increases.
• At Ga (galium) electronegativity start increasing because here inner d orbitals are present in elements.
