Electrostatic induction:-
It is the phenomena of temporary electrification of a conductor in which opposite charges appear at its closer end and similar charges appear at its farther end in the presence of a nearly charged body.

Firstly electrostatic induction is the process of charging. For example let us take two conductor seperated at some distance, also one conductor is charged and other is unchared.
Now on bringing this charged conductor near to the uncharted one the uncharged one get electric charge due to the electric field, his process is called electrostatic induction
