                                   ENDOCRINE GLAND

DEFINITION= They are the glands which secrete their secretions directly into the blood stream. They secrete hormones for making chemical communication between the cells.

EXAMPLES= Pituitary Gland, Thyroid gland, Parathyroid Gland, Thymus Gland, Adrenal Gland, Pancreas, Gonads, Pineal Gland.

FUNCTIONS= They release hormones which constitues Endocrine system and helps in chemical communication between cells.
