Endocytosis is a part of active transport which is commonly seen in organisms like amoeba. This includes phagocytosis which means cell eating by capturing the food particle using projections called pseudopodia and pinocytosis or potocy which means cell drinking where the plasmalemma creates vesicles to transport the bulk of fluid up to the end of cell membrane.
