Endoplasmic Reticulum :

=> Endoplasmic reticulum is a network of tube like structure from nuclear membrane to plasma membrane.

=> Endoplasmic reticulum is absent in prokaroytic cells.it is wall made up of single unit membrane.

=> Endoplasmic reticulum in transport of material between different parts of cytoplasm and they take part in the formation of golgi body.

=> There are two types of endoplasmic reticulum :

1] smooth endoplasmic reticulum

2] Rough endoplasmic reticulum

=> Smooth endoplasmic reticulum are smooth in nature because of ribosomes are absent and they help in the synthesis of fats and lipids molecules .

=> Rough endoplasmic reticulum are rough in nature because of ribosomes are present and they help in synthesis of protein with the help of ribosomes.
