Bcoz entropy increases.. When disorder increases.. Change in entropy of a system is positive naturally... this means entropy of universe is increasing continuously we have to spend extra amount of energy to arrange the thing in a manner or decrease entropy or disorderness.

let's take example : agar tum kuch dino Tak Apne room par Dhyan Na do aur Saara kaam daily karte raho To Kuch Dinon Mein Tumhara Sara Saman apne aap hi bikhar Jayega.. this means ki tumhare room ke entropy badh Gayi.. Ar tumko energy lagaani pdegi.. Disorder/entropy km krne k lie ar saara saaman set krne k lie

Answer:

Entropy is a measure of the disorder in a closed system. According to the second law, entropy in a system almost always increases over time — you can do work to create order in a system, but even the work that's put into reordering increases disorder as a byproduct — usually in the form of heat.
