Reverberation is the phenomenon by which the sound produced persists in our ears, but the sound could not be heard distinctly.

Measures taken to reduce echo:
1. Reduce the size of the obstacle, from which the sound is to be reflected.

2. Reduce the distance of the observer from the obstacle, ensure that the distance is less than 17 metres (if speed of sound in air = 340m/s).
