An Rh negative person, if exposed  to Rh positive blood will form specific antibodies against the Rh antigens . therefore Rh group should also  be matched before transfusion s. these antibodies destroys the clumped Rh red blood cells by the process of agglutination , which results in the accumulation of large quantity of toxic substance called bilirubin. this excess  accumulation of bilirubin may cause harm yo liver and spleen resulting in kidney failure and the rh mismatching has been observed between the Rh negative  blood of the mother in the first pregnancy as the two bloods are well separated  by the placenta. however during the delivery of he first child , there is possibility of exposure of the maternal blood to small amounts of Rh the blood from the foetus . in such case s , the mother starts preparing antibodies against Rh antigen inner blood . in case of her subsequent frequencies , the Rh antibodies from the mother (Rh negative) can leak into the blood of the foetus (Rh positive)  and destroy the foetal RBCs . This condition is called erythroblastosis foetalis.
