Given question: Explain evaporation with help of diagram, principle involved in it and two industrial applications.
Answer: EVAPORATION-
¤ Principle- This method is used to separate a non-volatile component or solute dissolved in a volatile component or solvent . Solid component is solute and is soluble in liquid and we need one component i.e. solute.
At the end, solvent will evaporate and solute will be left in the watch glass.
¤ Industrial Applications- 1) It is used to separate salt from water.
2) It is used to separate dye from ink.
¤ Diagram- (Evaporation of water from salt water to obtain salt has been depicted in the diagram which has been attached below.)
