A pair of ovaries release eggs. After puberty, in every woman an egg is released by an ovary every month. The egg goes into the fallopian tube where fertilisation may occur. Then it goes into the ovary. If the egg is unfertilised, it is released by the vagina along with blood vessels. If the egg is fertilised, it gets implanted in the wall of the uterus and development of the zygote takes place.
