in this case we see nitrogen has half filled p orbital which is stable electronic configuration as compared to 2p4 configuration of oxygen.so it is difficult to remove one electron from nitrogen for it's stable electronic configuration.But it is easy to remove electron from oxygen because it results a stable half filled configuration.Thats why the ionisation potential of nitrogen is grater than I.E of oxygen.
