Newton's First Law if Motion -:
It states that if a body is at rest, it will remain at rest and if a body is motion then it will remain in motion, unless and until an external force is applied. This law is also known as the Law of Inertia.
For example -: A book lying on a table cannot move by itself, but moves when some force is applied. Similarly a moving football can be stop by applying force !!
