a mnemonic concerning the behaviour of a current-carrying conductor in a magnetic field, according to which the directions of the magnetic field, the current, and the force exerted on the conductor are indicated respectively by the first finger, second finger, and thumb of the left hand when these are held out perpendicular to each other.

Flemming's Left Hand Rule : Flemming's Left Hand Rule suggest the direction of three quantities namely, Force, Magentic Field and Current.

Arrangements of three quantities : These three quantities are arranged perpendicular to each other. In order to learn there arrangements we use left hand rule.

How to arrange Left Hand?

Take your left hand and stretch you thumb pointing towards up. Now stretch your index finger as like you form gun in childhood. Now stretch your middle finger pointing towards you. (Refer to attatchment)

Learning Tricks : Learn this arrangement in short form of FMC. Here,

F = Father = Force direction

M = Mother = Magnetic Field

C = Child = Current

Where,

⇒ Pointer (index) Finger - Direction of Magnetic Field

⇒ Middle Finger - Direction of Current

⇒ Thumb - Direction of Force

In nutshell, Flemmings Left Hand Rule conculdes that;

→ Left Hand Rule states that like Magentic Field, Direction of Force also directly depends upon Current.

→ If current in conductor is reversed then force direction will also reverse.
