Two rough surface when placed together meet only at a certain point. The atoms or molecules present at such point of contact attract each other due to electrostatic attraction. These attraction is called force of adhesion

Adhesion is what, just the sticking of atoms of two object due to attraction. These all atomic attraction is due to eletrostatic force which makes two object, or the atoms of the object to get stucked. And this is what, known as force of Adhesion.
