Release of various oxides of nitrogen in the atmosphere from industries results in formation of acid rain. Nitrogen dioxide (No2), Nitrous oxide(NO) and dinitrogen oxide (N2O aka laughing gas) mix with the moisture present in the air. this leads to a chemical equation which forms nitric acid. Not very corrosive coz its diluted instantly by the presence of high moisture content in the atmosphere.However when it comes in contact with our skin it reacts to form Xanthoproteic Acid which leaves a faint yellow mark. non leathal ,wears off soon
