the formation of acid rain is described below:-

when the oxide of nitrogen and sulphur is burn it produce acidic oxide Called sulphur dioxide(SO2) and nitrogen dioxide (NO2). they goes into the air and decrease the PH(power of hydrogen ion) in air and thus causing acid rain (PH below 5.6)
