The combustion of one mole of liquid hexane to give liquid water and gaseouscarbon dioxide at 298 K and 1.00 atmosphere pressure. Calculate the enthalpy change involved in burning 1.00 mole of ethane, C2H6, in excess oxygen when reactants and products are in their standard states.
