a Republican society so that they can have a equal representation in government. Thus for this universal suffrage should be granted to people which is only possible in a nation state.

• Market : Till 1848, there were state imposed restrictions on trade. Thus people wanted that government should remove these barriers and provide them the freedom of trade.
