Friction is the force that opposes motion between any surfaces that are in contact. There are four types of friction: static, sliding, rolling, and fluid friction. Static, sliding, androlling friction occur between solid surfaces. Fluid friction occurs in liquids and gases.
Rubbing both hands together to create heat.
A sled sliding across snow or ice.
Skis sliding against snow.
A person sliding down a slide is an example of sliding friction.
A coaster sliding against a table.
the example of fluid friction are :
If there is a wet surface between two thin glass plates, you will notice that platest get stucked and the bottom plate doesn’t fall when you hold only the top one.
When any object is dropped in a fluid, the extent of splash is depended on the fluid friction of that particular fluid.
You find lighter dust particles move fast on the surface of a flowing river. This is due to the high velocity gradient at the top layer of water due to lower dynamic fluid friction at that layer.

can you give some examples of fluid friction?

HELLO MATE
Friction is the force that opposes motion between any surfaces that are in contact.
There are four types of friction.
1. Static friction.
Example - 1. A book on table.
2. A person sitting on chair.
2. Sliding friction.
Example - 1. A washing machine pushed along a floor.
2. A person sliding down a slide.
3. Rolling friction.
Example - 1. Car tires.
2. Bowling ball.
4. Fluid friction.
Example - 1. Suppose there is a wet surface between two thin glass plates, you may find the plates get stuck and the bottom plate does not fall when you hold only the top plate.
2. The quantum of fluid friction or the viscosity of blood is related to the bio medical condition of a person.
HOPE THIS HELPS YOU.
