There are advantages as well as disadvantages of the presence of friction.
Disadvantages:
We get hurt due to this frictional force if fall down or slid or in an accident.
It decreases the efficiency of all the machines,etc.
Advantages;
We can walk or run due to presence of friction between our legs and can drive cycles and vehicles ,etc
