Pros: friction is used in the automobile industry to manufacture tires that have maximum traction and it is used to create heat when we rub our palms together and without it we could not walk, write, run, sit etc.

Cons: friction causes wear and tear in machinery, it damages the gears in the machine and heats it up. Friction causes many effects on an object trying to move fast and causes drag on the object
