Here is ur answer.....

Hydrochloric Acid (HCL) is a Acid which is released in our stomach..it plays a main role in the digestion of Proteins.

The HCL turns the inactive pepsinogen into the active pepsin..The Pepsin digests the proteins and converts into the peptides.


Even HCL is a strong acid..but it dosen't harms our stomach due to the presence of the mucus on the wall of the stomach
