In 1933,Gies began working for Otto Frank, a Jewish businessman who had moved with his family from Germany to the Netherlands in hope of sparing his family from Nazi persecution. Miep became a close,trusted friend of the Frank Family and was a great support to them during the two years they spent in hiding.

Miep Gies: Hiding the Frank Family. The treatment of Jews in Holland - and all of Nazi-occupied Europe-continues to worsen.In 1942, Otto Frank informs Miep that he and his family are going into hiding.Though she could be severely punished for helping to hide Jews, Miep immediately offer her support.

She rescued Anne Frank's diaries and later returned then to Otto Frank, the sole survivor of his family.He had them published. Gies recorded her own memoir of 1987 and died on January 11, 2010 at age 100. She became a great help to the Jews during the World War II.

She taught us to show love to people no matter the circumstances we in. LOVE IS THE MOST IMPORTANT THING IN LIFE.
