Transpiration is the process in which plant takes water from the roots and give off excess water in the form of vapors through pores.
1. It creates a negative pressure gradient that helps in drawing water and minerals from roots to the plants.
2. It keeps the plant cool in hot weather.
3. Transpires excess water out of the plant.
