There are various methods of vegetatively multiplying plants by artificial means . Tissue culture is the way through which nutritious and healthy plants are grown artificially . These artificially made plants are called ' Genetically modified crops ( GM crops ) ' . These artificial plants can withstand environmental stresses like high temperatures , change in climate , etc . Also , these plants are restaint from insects. So , there's no need for spraying pesticides and weedicides on these plants . To make such artificial plants grow rapidly , changes are made in the genetics of the seeds by scientists / botanists and researchers . These genetically modified crops are healthy and nutritious for us to eat .
