from one side of the plant​

Auxin is a growth hormone present in root/ shoot tip which increase the length of the plant by cell elongation.

Auxin hormone is produced in a cell in the absence of sunlight. When a plant is placed towards light source coming from one side of the plant, auxin is produced in the shady part of the stem which is away from the light source.

Therefore one part of the stem grows more than the other half resulting in the bending of the shoot tip of a plant towards light source.
