Air is a mixture bcoz it is a mixture of gases,humid particles,dust and others. It contains gases like nitrogen oxygen co2 and all .So air is mixture

Air is called a mixture, because it consists of 78% nitrogen (N), 21% oxygen (O), 0.98% argon (Ar) and 0.02% carbon dioxide (CO2) and water vapours (H2O).
Moreover , dust particles and water vapour are also present in the atmosphere because of which air is mixture.
