Introduction - Golgi body is discovered by Camello Golgi in 1898. It present in all eukaryotic cells except RBCs.

Structure - It consist of cisternae, vesicles and vacuoles. It has convex cisternae face and concave trans face.

Function :-

1) Synthesis of cell wall, plasma membrane and lysosomes.

2) It helps in the formation of acrosome in sperms and cell plate during cell division.

the Golgi apparatus, also known as the golgi complex, golgi body, or simply the golgi is an organelles found in the most eukaryotic cells , part of the endomembrane system in the cytoplasm, it packages proteins in to membrane _ bound vesicles inside the cell before the vesicles are sent of their destination.
