GRAVITATIONAL FORCE - The force of attraction between all masses in the universe; especially the attraction of the earth's mass for bodies near its surface.

EXAMPLE= The force that holds the gases in the sun.

FRICTIONAL FORCE-  Frictional force refers to the force generated by two surfaces that contacts and slide against each other. A few factors affecting the frictional force: These forces are mainly affected by the surface texture and amount of force impelling them together.

EXAMPLE= Friction is what holds your shoe to the ground.

Explanation:

Gravitational force

Gravitational force is the force that attracts to objects with mass. ... This forces tries to pull masses together, that is why attractive in nature. For example: When ball is thrown upwards it always come downwards after a certain height because the ball is pulled or attracted by the Earth's gravitation la force.

Frictional force

Friction is a force that opposes the motion of an object by being in contact with it.

Friction is a force that opposes the motion of an object by being in contact with it.This is an example: the break in a train engine. It consists of a piece of metal that is pressed (contact) to the rolling wheel to create a resistance to the movement, and thus, ultimately, bringing the convoy to a stop. Recall that the definition of mechanical force is F= m*a (force equals mass multiplied by the acceleration given to such a given mass). In a brake, because the friction is diminishing the velocity of the vehicle, i.e. de-accelerating it, the expression will be F= m*(-a) or -F = m*a, a “negative” force.
