arshianaqvi3: The poet says that the peasant doesn’t see any kind of harm or sin in being satisfied that the rain has come only for his benefit, but it’s the poet’s eyes that could see everything, and much more and far than this.

So basically he does not realise or see that he’s doing something wrong. The only thing that matters to him is gaining something. If he is getting something in return, he doesn’t care if his actions are wrong or right.
