Example: A triangle PQR has sides 4 cm, 13 cm and 15 cm. Find the area of the triangle. Semiperimeter of triangle PQR, s = (4+13+15)/2 = 32/2 = 16. By heron's formula, we know; A = √[s(s-a)(s-b)(s-c)]

Answer:

Heron's formula:Heron's formula (sometimes called Hero's formula), named after Hero of Alexandria, gives the area of a triangle when the length of all three sides are known. Unlike other triangle area formulae, there is no need to calculate angles or other distances in the triangle first.

for example ,,, please see the above attachment..
