the type of catalysis in which catalyst have different phase than that of reactant and product

and it must be applied on physical states like "solid, liquid and gas" as well as immiscible fluids. And it can be recycled easily than that of homogeneous catalysis

like synthesis of sulphuric acid in which sulphertrioxide (gas) react with water (liquid) in the presence of vanadium oxide (solid) as a catalyst
