haemoglobin is an oxygen carrying protein present in red blood cells
haemoglobin has four chain 2 alpha and 2 beta chains
haemoglobin contains 574 amino acids
they have one " fe" ion in their molecule
they are red in colour due to the presence of red pigment haem
