Explain how a nyaya panchayat functions?

The Nyaya Panchayat or Panchayat Adalat is an intermediate level of panchayat b/w Gram Panchayat and Panchayat Samiti. Its functions are as follows:-

i) To provide cheap & inexpensive justice to villagers.

ii) To supervise the working 3-4 Gram Panchayats under it.

iii) To carry out various other judicial functions for the Gram Panchayats
