Alexander's army planned to  cross the Hydaspes beofre Porus  making Porus's army confused.

  • Alexander's army was able to cross the Hydaspes River before Porus was able to react by cofusing Porus's army. Alexander made  his troops move different directions and had one part of the troop make a lot of noise, while the other part of the troop moved across the river. Porus following  the noise, The trap had to be falling.
  • In the Hydaspes battle, defeat of King Porus  at the River and   it was a close battle .Alexander 'won' he gave back to Porus his kingdom of Hydaspes and donated to Porus his  King Taxiles' .
  • On the conquests for Porus to add to the latter's kingdom.Hydaspes stalemate of the river,not  defeat for Alexander for his  approach
