The burning of fuels like coal, petrol, diesel releases harmful gases like carbon monoxide and some other green house gases. These gases mixes in the atmosphere and also with clouds and the acidic part of the gases stays.. with the clouds because of the water droplets present in it. This is how the burning of fuels leads to acid rain.
