Explanation:

Because mostly we see that slippery surfaces contains water. Our legs slip on watery surfaces. That is why it is difficult to walk in a slippery surface.

Answer:

We can walk easily on hard and rough surface due to high friction. High friction enables us to provide proper grip that is required to push the ground backward so that ground pushes us forward. (Newton's third law  of motion is applied while walking)

We cannot walk that easily on slippery surface because of less friction. This creates a lack of grip that is required while pushing the ground backward in order to move forward.
