✯ when we cover our ears the intensity of sound vibrations gets decreased. { which come from the source of sound }
✯ moreover, pinna is unable to collect the sound in order to pass it to other parts of the ear.
✯ thus, we can't hear sound. even if we do hear it, its intensity is very less.
