Is this question troubling you ?

worry not, here is the answer.

✯ when we cover our ears the intensity of sound vibrations gets decreased. { which come from  the source of sound }

✯ moreover, pinna is unable to collect the sound in order to pass it to other parts of the ear.

✯ thus, we can't hear sound. even if we do hear it, its intensity is very less.
