• Socialization is characterized as a phase of learning to behave in a way that is appropriate to society, and the acts and beliefs of a particular culture influence behaviour. For instance, someone who has resided in or has stayed in another nation for a while and also in another significant part of a nation from which one has previously existed encountered traditions , values and behavior  differentiation in those areas. It is apparent therefore that an environment will affect strongly what person values.
• Our culture and values have mostly no influence on how we socialise. Socialization is accomplished by a combination of families , friends, education, media and religion in all western societies. Any societies could have people socialising somewhat differently. For example , women may be much more interested in socialising girls in some societies than men are. The basic socialisation process, however, remains the same.
• Any culture attempts to spread its own ideals to the next generation. Each society also has a distinct socialisation of its young people. America 's culture will socialise the young people to believe in "individualism" for example, while Japanese society will rely more on getting together with the group. The ultimate method of socialisation, however, is essentially the same irrespective of culture, but cultural and traditions influence the nature of socialisation.
